Win Bet - You are picking the single horse that will cross the line first.

Show Bet - You are picking the single horse that will cross the line second.

Place Bet - You are picking the single horse that will cross the line third.

Quiniela - You are picking the two horses that will cross the line first and second.

Trifecta - You are picking the three horses that will cross the line first, second and third - in that order.

Boxing - This is when you select your horses and bet all the possible ways they can come in. For example, if you liked the 1,2 and 3 horses, you could bet a Trifecta box for $1 per way. The final cost of your ticket would be $6 and you would win with all the following orders: 1-2-3, 1-3-2, 2-1-3, 2-3-1, 3-1-2 or 3-2-1.

You can also box Quiniela bets by selecting three horses. If two of those three come in first and second, you win. A three horse $2 Quiniela bet boxed would cost $6 total. If you selected the 1,2 and 3 horses, you would win if the first two were: 1-2, 1-3 or 2-3 (in any order).

Keying - When you key a bet, you lock one horse into a spot and bet all the ways the other horses could come in. Using our example in Boxing, a Key with the 1 horse winning, would cost $2 and you could win if the final order is: 1-2-3 or 1-3-2.
